We believe to our core that in order to stay true to our values and to know that we are competing as a varsity level team, we need players from all backgrounds – whether we’re talking about race and ethnicity, gender identity, religious affiliation, political affiliation, social class, veteran status, physical abilities, age, and more. As a female civilian in a heavily military and male dominated environment, I am personally grateful for the men and women in my life who took a chance on me and ultimately provided the opportunity and inspiration that guided DDG into what it is today. I intend to “pay it forward,” as DDG has initiated several efforts to augment the diversity of our team and to ensure an inclusive culture that provides dynamic opportunities for development and growth. This approach helps us to create a psychologically safe environment that eliminates Group Think and provides countless opportunities for the development of raw talent.
